Not very long around a year ago Maybelline launched the 14 HR range which was an instant hit due to no need to touch ups. I recently bought Always Plum because i am into those colors at the moment, In brief, this is a well pigmented, matte lipstick that stays on pretty well, say at least 8 hrs if not 14.

Packaging: Pink Summer belongs to the pink family of Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Color range, hence comes with a dark pink translucent cap. No doubt the packaging is very attractive and it was one of the deciding factors for me to take the lipstick. The lipstick bullet is enclosed in a slender silver tube, which itself looks classy. Overall, the packaging is pretty, sturdy and travel friendly.
Texture: The texture of the lipstick is creamy and glides very easily. One swipe of lipstick delivers 60-70% of color, with decent opacity which can be further built up with the second swipe. It isn't terribly moisturizing but isn't drying as well, something in between that. It doesn’t turns out to be flaky after a few hours and doesn’t settle into fine lines as well. The color doesn’t bleed and essentially doesn’t require a lip liner even. It has a very mild vanilla fragrance that doesn’t last after application. The best part, the lipstick is lightweight and non-sticky on application.
Color: Pink Summer is a perfect rose petal pink, with frosty look, luminous silver sheen due to fine shimmer and satiny feel. I was not intending to buy a shimmer shade, but it looks so good on my lips that I have no regrets buying it. The color pigmentation is good. It has decent color pay off, decent opacity and a pretty shade to add in your stash. It will suit all skin tones, I am sure about that.
Lasting Power: Pink Summer lasts for about 4 hours approximately with little eating and drinking. It leaves behind shimmer particles and a satin finish when fades. It is not flaky, so touch ups make up the fading; however, when applied initially, it transfers to cups and spoons (like many others do).

Maybelline Color Sensational 190 Atomic Plum
Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks need no introduction in the makeup lover’s circle! I have the feeling that Maybelline probably offers the best quality lipsticks in the most affordable price in the market. And the choice of available colors are so amazing in its variety of ranges, that every time I pass a Maybelline counter in a drugstore- I inevitably pick up a new color.
The shade “Atomic Pink” falls into this category of vibrant colors. It’s a deep magenta plum color-with the magenta ruling the shade. Right from the beginning I loved how this shade looks on my wheatish-fair complexion. Since I am through and through dark eye makeup person and do not leave home without a dash of bold black eyeliners, I was wondering if this shade would look odd on me during daytime.

- Doesn't dry the lips.
- Well pigmented.
- Color doesn't bleed.
- Beautiful packaging.
- Not so expensive.
- Vibrant magenta-plum color that instantly brightens up a Wheaties skin tone
- Great pigmentation, 1-2 swipes are enough to deliver full color.
- Good staying power-stays about 3-4 hours without meals.
- Creamy formula which is very moisturizing-you won’t need a lip balm with this one.
- Doesn't stain lips nor bleed around the edges
